Laurie Gonda - Founder / President / Creative Director

Laurie & Myles

Laurie Gonda is an Artist, Certified Massage Therapist, has strong skills in graphic and web design, video editing, copywriting, computer applications, accounting/budgets, research, planning, leadership, motivation and organization development. She has three brilliant kids, two beautiful horses and couldn't be prouder to be a mom! (Laurie & son, Myles pictured in photo)

 


Claire Crandell-Koski - Program & Event Consultant , Writer, Grantwriter

Claire is an artist and an art teacher who has worked with children, adults and special populations ; a writer and a grants writer; a student of tai chi; a beginning student of Body Talk, a 20 year practitioner of Sant Mat meditation, and is an excellent soup maker. She has worked in a variety of arts and business capacities; received a National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship for Sangamon Arts and Business Institute in Sangamon, IL. , and has worked with an arts council and gallery. She currently is writing and illustrating a children’s book.


Tara Carroll - Art Therapist / Mental Health Counselor / Director of Arts and Wellness Programs for Teens and Adults

Designed and Directs the Expressive Arts & Wellness programs for teens and adults.

"As the facilitator of the Expressive Arts & Wellness program, I am also an Art Therapist, with a dual Masters in Art Therapy and Mental Health Counseling from Lesley University in Cambridge, MA and a Traverse City graduate of St. Francis High School.

Through my educational experiences I have had the chance to work in large clinical settings like Massachusetts General and The University of Michigan Hospitals, as well as mental health facilities and variety of school settings. In these settings I designed and implemented a variety of expressive arts and wellness programs to suit the needs of the individuals involved."

Artworks ...

Merrily Bauer, Artist, & extra-ordinary art teacher  of 30 years is now expanding Artworks  for  Adults, Teens & Tweens!  Bauer inspired by nature loves to travel & reflects images, color & light from her journeys;  via ART.

Each class begins with an energetic demo- introducing concepts and techniques.  Process is emphasized although results are usually amazing. 


Vegetarian Cooking & Baking ...

Chef instructor Melissa Denton received an Associates of Culinary Arts from the Grand Rapids Community College. She has been working within the restaurant/ food service industry for nearly 20 years.  Currently she is singular chef/ owner of Mindful Living Personal Chef Services specializing in whole foods using organic and or local raw materials. She is very enthusiastic to share her passion for  a healthful approach to cooking and hopes to inspire teens to embrace their own passion for cooking, a useful lifelong skill.


     

Creative Writing ...

Anni
Anni Macht Gibson
is a writer who splits her time between Cincinnati, Ohio and Traverse City, Michigan.  Unfinished, published by Woven Word Press in May, 2007,  is her first collection of poetry. She has also been published in Westview (Southwest Oklahoma University), Sanskrit (UNC- Charlotte), a compendium of political poetry by University of Cincinnati, ecumininet.com and cincychic.com.

Currently, she is the licensed owner of the Women Writing for (a) Change Up North School creative writing school in Traverse City, MI.  The school offers creative writing classes and weekend retreats for aspiring writers.

Ms. Gibson’s background is as a marketing manager for a Fortune 500 company, where she worked for 24 years.  She has been writing since her retirement in 2001.

She earned her bachelor’s degree from Goucher College in 1974 and a Masters of Eduction with a concentration in Communications from Xavier University in 1977.

, MBA, is committed to helping clients take charge of their personal finances so that their lives can be lived more fully. Her own poignant experiences with money led to her training with author/coach Maria Nemeth (The Energy of Money and Mastering Life's Energies). Maureen's clients are individuals and small groups, who work with personal finances in a holistic way to build a foundation for good money management. The good news is that having this foundation brings positive changes to every area of one's life. Maureen finds money and its place in our lives to be a fascinating subject - one suitable for warriors and anyone willing to become friends with money and fear.
