Youth Groups

  • "The Edge" Youth Ministry - Shooting pool, playing air hockey, or lounging on a couch and chatting with friends.  Playing the Nintendo Wii on the big screen.  Sipping coffee or soda at a table on the balcony of the Family Life Center.  An occassional game of basketball or dodgeball...  And discussing God's Word and the relevant issues facing the life of today's youth.  These are some of the things you may see on any particular night that the youth meet.  Currently "The Edge" meets on Wednesday nights from 7pm to 8:30pm to dive into the Word and grow as young Christians.
"Friday Night Lights", the weekly youth outreach, meets from 8pm to 11:30pm on Friday nights for a time of food, fun, and activities.  FNL also hosts a youth worship band, special music, and a fast & fun message that will reach all teens coming in.  FNL is open to teenagers, 13yrs to college age. (Bayview Wesleyan Church: 720 Wayne St.)

art therapy

  • About Art Therapy / American Art Therapy Association
  • NCCATA (National Coalition of Creative Arts Therapies Associations) on Art Therapy
  • Art Therapy
Art Therapy is a multifaceted counseling modality that utilizes one’s innate creativity to bring about change and healing. Through an exploration of our metaverbal (beyond words) realm of the human psyche, we can nurture our capacity to be still and listen, as well as to take action and create personal change.

The process of art-making and the art product both provide fertile ground for personal insight and increased awareness. Art Therapy is an extremely versatile medium and can benefit people of all ages.

If you are interested in learning more about or recieving art therapy, please contact Tara at tara@Studio7Arts.com
